Bonhams Auctioneers approached AROS to convert a beautiful Victorian auction house into stunning apartments. The primary challenge was a long narrow building with daylight only available at both ends and through the roof. Service spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens were located in the centre of the building with living areas in the large halls at either end. Careful mezzanine configuration and rooflight arrangements further increase the available accommodation within the apartments. These lofty, character apartments compete with the best available in Leeds city centre, the largest containing a private swimming pool and cinema.
