Mixed Use Scheme for the Isle of Man
We have submitted a planning application for a mixed use development in a prime location in Douglas, Isle of Man. The proposed scheme will provide a new cinema complex with 7 screens, an 80 room hotel and 20 dwellings overlooking the quayside. In addition, at ground floor level a mixture of new restaurant and retail units will attract established brands to the island. At the centre of the proposals, a multi-storey car park will provide much needed public spaces in this highly accessible location. The design of the scheme draws on local references to create a vibrant and contemporary addition to the town centre. Views towards the quayside are maximised from both the restaurants and new apartments at upper level. The new hotel provides a striking welcome to visitors with direct visual links acknowledged towards the ferry terminal.
